Piping is one of key equipment in nuclear power plant. Vibration usually happens to the piping. The vibration can induce the piping to crack or rupture. Serious crack will forces the power plant to shut down and maintenance. Sometimes may cause catastrophic accidents, some of which have been listed in the paper. In order to reduce such kind of accidents, the main reasons inducing the vibration of the piping in nuclear power plant have been analyzed, such as the vibration of the rotating equipment, hydraulic hammer action, fluid pulsation, cavitations corrosion, gas liquid two-phase flow, wind, earthquake and artificial error. Moreover, the accident case and common improvement scheme have been put forward. The work of this paper can provides necessary references for the piping design, construction, maintenance and overhaul, in nuclear power plant.
