Modal analysis of the structure of a semitrailer is carried out. At first, the model of the semitrailer is built by using UG. Then, the model is meshed by using HyperWorks for
finite element analysis. Finally, the vibration mode analysis is done by means of the finite element method. The modal parameters of the frame of the semitrailer are obtained
and analyzed. The results of the modal analysis show that the natural frequencies of the semitrailer are quite different from the frequencies of all the excitation sources, so
that the resonance phenomena can be avoided.
