Windings’ deformation is one of the most frequent faults for the power transformer. Based on the vibration frequency response analysis, this paper proposes a correlation coefficient of vibration frequency response curve in order to more effectively detect the windings deformation. In the experiments, the vibration frequency response method is used to detect the states of largescale power transformers windings which are manmade fault. The results analysis shows that this correlation coefficient is sensitive to the windings deformation.
