Using noise and vibration analysis system, the transmission system noise and vibration of a traction motor were tested, and the characteristics of the noise and vibration were analyzed. It is concluded that the noise level increases with the rotation speed increasing mainly in the frequency range near 800 Hz, and noise of MIC02 is higher than the noise of MIC01; gearbox vibration is bigger than motor vibration. This work provides a reference for noise and vibration reduction design of transmission systems of traction motors.

In vibration and noise reduction design of high speed train, sound quality has become an important indicator of comfort evaluation. In this paper, based on the theory by Zwicker who presented objective quantificational methods for subjective evaluation of the noise, the experimental data of internal noise of high speed railway trains is analyzed through the calculation of four objective evaluation parameters of noise: loudness, sharpness, roughness and fluctuation strength. Finally, the status and distribution regulations of various psychoacoustics parameters are obtained in the typical position of the train driven at several constant speeds. This work provides some reference basis for sound quality research of the high speed railway trains.

With automobile industrys development and urban traffic growth, traffic noise in urban areas increases rapidly, which brings the serious influence on the daily life and work for the residents. Therefore, noise reduction research of bituminous pavements of urban roads is urgent. In order to guarantee the noise reduction effect of the bituminous pavements, the porosity 15%~20% is required for the pavement. Therefore, the material gradation composition, bituminous binder's performance, the asphaltaggregate proportion, and the physical properties of the pavement must be controlled precisely. This article uses experimental method to carry on the design of mix proportion of the porous bituminous pavement material for different aggregate gradation to provide the basis for determination of the noise reduction performance for the porous bituminous pavement materials.

The noise experiments in a subway car were made. The measurement points were positioned at the centre of the cars body, and at the vestibule diaphragm and the bogie, respectively, above the floor with different heights. It is found that the noise at the airoutlet is 77.8 dB(A) in the case of static car. When the train was running, however, the noise of the subway car is 1.0-5.9 dB(A) higher in the subway tunnel than that in the railway viaduct. Wheel/rail noise is the major contributor to the internal noise, while the noise from auxiliary equipments can usually be neglected in the measurement except the portions near the airoutlet in the running car. The coach airproof affects the noise distribution in the car, so the airproof of the door and the vestibule diaphragm should be improved.
