There are 3 ways to reduce refrigerators noise: reducing the sound source, optimizing the sound delivery path, and repressing the response. In this paper, the second way is discussed only. Through the modal analysis of the backplates of some Haier refrigerators, their natural frequencies and vibration modes are found. The optimal design of the backplate structure is presented. The resonance between the backplate and the entire refrigerator can be avoided and the noise can be reduced.
