Very few works on sound quality research of automobile’s throttle can be found in our Country. In this paper, mechanism analysis and control method of throttle’s flow noise are elaborated in combination with a practical engineering case in automobile development. By optimizing the EFI match, adding deflector and improving sound package acoustic insulation performance, the throttle’s sound quality, when the vehicle is accelerating or rapid braking, is significantly improved. And the product market risk of the user’s complaints is greatly reduced. At the same time, influence of improvement of the throttle’s sound quality on the external characteristics of powertrain is analyzed. This work may be helpful for further study of the throttle’s flow noise and the transient NVH performance.

Applying the tensioncompression viscoelastic model of metallic rubber (MR), the constitutive law of MR is obtained by means of ANSYS code with quilibrium iteration. The computation result is in good accordance with the experimental data. This work provides a reference for further study of MR.
