Based on the variational theory, the amended Reynolds equation of water guide bearing in turbulent regime is transformed to functional extreme value problem. Using the products of weight function and linear interpolation function as pressure function, onedimensional finite element algorithm for calculating load force and its Jacobi matrix is proposed. The umerical results show that this method can reduce the computing time remarkably with the precision guaranteed.
