A detailed literature review on vibro-acoustic modeling of complex underwater cylindrical shell structure is given, in both aspects of research objects and modeling approaches. Reviews on infinitely long and finitely cylindrical shell, double layer cylindrical shell, ribbed cylindrical shell, and the cylindrical shell with internal bases (floors, foundations etc) and complex vibration isolation system are presented. Methods for modeling dynamic responses of fluid-loaded cylindrical shell in low frequency, mid-frequency and high frequency ranges are given. Some potential modeling techniques are provided.

A detailed literature reviews on complex flexible isolation system, especially for floating raft system, are given in the aspects of research objects, modelling approaches and vibration isolation performance index. The flexibiltiy of substructures and stationary wave effects in isolators are discussed. Some modeling approaches such as substructure method, finite element method and power flow analysis are summarized.
