Dynamics of Iced Transmission Line under Static Wind Loads

The static shape and dynamic characteristics of iced transmission lines under static wind loads were analyzed. The formulary of static shape of iced transmission lines under static wind loads was introduced with comparison of three analysis methods. Based on the analysis of dynamic characteristics of iced transmission lines under static wind, it was known that the inherent vibration analysis of iced transmission lines under static wind can more fully reflect the mode shape change with elastic wire geometry parameters and the relationship between modal coupling. That model can be used as basic function for establishing the discrete model of wire dynamic response analysis.
