Sensors are usually used to get the parameters for performance estimate of gas turbines in power plants. The measured values are immediately affected by sensors states. It is hard to detect periodic fault, which is one of common faults of sensors, since the periodic signal has small magnitude and can be easily covered by noise. In this paper, wavelet singular entropy (WSE) is used for periodic fault detection of sensors. Definition and calculation methods of the WSE are introduced. Through the simulation, the advantage of WSE in periodic fault detection is found in comparison with the traditional wavelet transform. It is proved that the WSE is independent of fault amplitude. The method is verified by experimental data from combustor’s outlet temperature sensors.

Based on the analysis of vibration signal measured in an aeroengines case testing and the analysis of the structural characteristics of the aeroengine, the abnormal vibration in bench test is studied. The result shows that the clearance and eccentricity of the bearing system of the lowpressure turbine are the main contribution to the abnormal vibration. It also shows that combining modern signal process technique with pertinent analysis method, the fault in aeroengine can be located quickly and accurately.

With automobile industrys development and urban traffic growth, traffic noise in urban areas increases rapidly, which brings the serious influence on the daily life and work for the residents. Therefore, noise reduction research of bituminous pavements of urban roads is urgent. In order to guarantee the noise reduction effect of the bituminous pavements, the porosity 15%~20% is required for the pavement. Therefore, the material gradation composition, bituminous binder's performance, the asphaltaggregate proportion, and the physical properties of the pavement must be controlled precisely. This article uses experimental method to carry on the design of mix proportion of the porous bituminous pavement material for different aggregate gradation to provide the basis for determination of the noise reduction performance for the porous bituminous pavement materials.

The strong vibration situation of the dashboard in braking process of a small passenger car traveling at a high speed is studied. The modal testing and frequencyspectrum methods are used to analyze the possible factors of the dashboard vibration. The abnormal vibration source of the dashboard in the braking process and the vibration level of the component parts in the vibration transmission channel are determined. The theoretical basis is then provided for distinguishing vibration source and the cause of abnormal vibration of the dashboard.
