Testing and evaluation of noise are important work for the quality controlling of security inspection equipment. In this paper, some indexes for noise evaluation are analyzed and compared one another. As an example, the characteristic of the noise radiation distribution in the EI10080 security inspection equipment is analyzed experimentally. The method for testing and evaluation of noise of security inspection equipment is proposed by analyzing the sound pressure levels of noise at two prescribed points. Results of testing show that this method is easy to handle and has a high precision.
