The noise of an onsite reciprocating compressor is measured and analyzed. Sound level testing and spectrum testing are carried out by using sound level meter and twochannel dataacquisitionandanalysis instrument. The sound level is evaluated according to the Industrial Enterprise Noise Standards (Grade A). Through the frequency spectrum analysis, the main noise source and its main feature are found. Finally, some measures for noise reduction and control are proposed.
