When sound wave irradiates suspension layer, there is propagation attenuation in the layer besides reflection and transmission in the interface. Theory and computer simulation about acoustic character of underwater suspension with elastic particles are given. The rule of acoustic character of suspension layer changed with frequency and characteristic parameters of layer and particles is drawn. The results show that the variation of acoustic character of suspension layer in low frequency is not sharp. With the increase of frequency, the acoustic character of suspension layer is more sensitive to the characteristic parameters.
