In this paper, ABAQUS simulation software is used to establish the simulation model of rubber element of a certain type of highly flexible coupling. The axial force and axial displacement are analyzed in its working condition. The result of the simulation calculation is in accord with the calculation result by “Rivlin” theory. The method of simulation used in this paper will be helpful in the design of axial displacement compensation device for highly flexible couplings.
