An active absorption method using piezoelectric material is proposed in this paper. In this method, a piezoelectric ceramic is used as the absorption material in the active absorption system. Two microphones are placed in the front of the piezoelectric ceramic with equal distance from it to measure the incidence plane wave and the reflecting wave. The voltage is applied on the surface of the piezoelectric ceramic in order to eliminate the reflection wave. Finally, simulation of the active absorption control is carried out by means of the MATLAB code for the incidence plane wave with different frequencies. Results show that the proposed method is effective and feasible.
