With a 12-cable geophysical vessel as an example, the underwater noise evaluation technology of ships were studied by means of the combination of the FEM and BEM according to the frequency band features of the vessel. The evaluation methods were verified. Some measures for noise control of ships were proposed and verified by a real-ship testing. The evaluation methods of underwater noise and measures for noise control proposed in this work provide a reference for underwater noise control of the deep-water geophisical vessels.
