Operation of BeijingTianjin intercity railway indicates that the “highspeed era” of Chinas railroad started. However, with the increase of the train speed the environmental vibration control along the railways has been becoming a serious problem. Therefore, the project on the groundborne vibration due to railway traffic is becoming a special concern in civil and environmental engineering. In this paper, the numerical model is set up, which consists of the vehicletrackroadbedground coupling system and the groundbarrierbuilding coupling system. The universal finiteelement software ANSYS is used to analyze the reduction effect of vibration isolation of a new style trench. The style includes trapezoid, upsidedown trapezoid, triangle, upsidedown triangle and so on. The vibration isolation effect of the new style trench is compared with that of the traditional trench. It is shown that the effect of the new style trench is better than that of the traditional trench, and the style of the trench can be properly changed to improve the effect of vibration isolation.
