The acoustic environmental requirements for whole-vehicle noise testing according to the ISO 362, ECE R51, and GB 1495-2002 standards are introduced. Referring to the national and international standards such as GB 6882-1986 and ISO 3745-2003 and considering the requirements in actual usage, some indexes of the whole vehicle’s semi-anechoic chamber construction are proposed for the National Automobile Quality Supervision Test Center (NAQSTC) in Xiangfan. The laboratory for the testing in the NAQSTC has been appraised by China’s Institute of Metrology. The detail of the design, construction and the appraisement of the whole vehicle semi-anechoic chamber is introduced.

Abstract1641)            Save
It is difficult to obtain the accurate data of pure exhaust noise under common lab conditions because of interference of background noise. Two practical and effective methods have been proposed to measure the pure exhaust noise of engine in this paper. The experimental study on pure exhaust noise was carried on under the full-load speed characteristics curve of engine through using an acoustic enclosure designed by this paper. Test results indicate that experimental unit is right. The pure exhaust noise become stronger and the middle to high frequency noise increases with engine speed increasing. The pure exhaust noise of engine is coherent with background noise, and the value of which calculated by the theory of coherent acoustic is corresponded with the experimental data, so it is verified that the two measuring methods for pure exhaust noise of engine in this paper is feasible.

In this paper, the comprehensive mechanical impedance problem of the complicated mechanical system is studied with the elastic deformation considered. The synthesis method of mode mechanical impedance with damping effect is presented. The process of system modeling by this method is similar to that of the modular processing. Finally, a floating raft system model is presented, and the natural frequency is computed and analyzed.

To exist inaccurate damage location for current flexibilitybased method for damage localization,a new damage index based on the orthogonal relation between stiffness matrix and flexibility matrix is presented combining with the matrix perturbation method and the finite element method. It can obtain accurate damage location using several order modal parameters. The effectiveness and superiority of this approach is verified by a numerical simulation for the plane truss, and it will be possibly used on damage localization for complex structures.
