In the dynamic environment, there exist several nonlinear factors in the ring-wedge connection structure, such as contact, clearance and abrasion. It is hard to depict the structure’s dynamic character precisely by theoretical means. In this paper, the method of experimental modal analysis is used to identify the modal parameters of the structure. The result shows that the modal parameters of the structure change regularly with the exciting force. Then the responses of different portions of the structure excited by different magnitudes and different types of forces are studied experimentally. The result shows that the relation between the response and the excitation is nonlinear. And the nonlinearities at different measurement points are dissimilar.
