A sixfreedom dynamic model of the powertrain mounting system of an IVECO minibus is established. Some relevant formulas are derived based on the theory of energy decoupling. The optimal design of the parameters of the powertrain mounting system is carried out. The result indicates that a reasonable selection of the parameters of the powertrain mounting system is beneficial for reducing engine vibration and increasing vehicles comfort performance.

The accurate inertia parameters of powertrain rigid body is one of important prerequisites in the powertrain mounting system design. Based on the existing methodology ,a methodology of inertia parameter identification of the non-linear damping mounting system is introduced and validated.In this methodology,three mounts of the powertrain are used as mounting,and the inertia parameters of powertrain rigid body is gained by Frequency Response Function (FRF)。Based on the methodology,the influences of vehicle mounting system to the inertia parameters of powertrain rigid body is taken into account adequately.The feasibility and reliability of the methodology is proved by an instance.
