The main reducer hypoid gear of vehicle's rear axle and the frequency spectrum method are briefly introduced. Then the design of the testing system of the main reducer hypoid gear and its testing method are elaborated. The results of the testing are analyzed with the method of frequency spectrum, and the main reasons of the vibration of the main reducer hypoid gear are researched. A scientific basis is provided for reducing the vibration and noise of main reducer hypoid gear.
