Aiming at the rotor test rig,the rotor-bearing system is modeled for different types of lubrication bearings, the dynamical behaviors of the rotor system are then investigated. The dynamical stiffness and damping coefficients for different bearing key parameters are also studied. Via comparison, the dynamical supporting characteristics under different bearing parameters are discussed. With consideration of the different foundation support stiffness, the critical speeds of the rotor-bearing system are also investigated.

Independent fault diagnosis for orbited spacecraft in real time is always the bottleneck in the development of aerospace engineering. In this paper, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is employed for fault diagnosis of moving component parts of spacecrafts. The stepout fault characteristic is extracted effectively and the base frequency is obtained. This method provides with the basis for fault diagnosis of orbited spacecrafts under the blackbox condition. In addition, in comparison with FFT and wavelet analysis, it is found that the EMD method is more efficient and advanced in the fault diagnosis of moving component parts of spacecrafts.

A survey on the research of the unbalanced magnetic pull(UMP) in the motors is given in the paper. The mechanism of UMP is analyzed and summarized. The developing status of the research of UMP, especially the nonlinear UMP, is also introduced. The ways to preventing and reducing UMP are also summarized. Finally, the future research orientation of UMP is also discussed.
