Vibration is one of main forms of the environmental pollutions of elevated station for high-speed railway. In order to investigate the environmental vibration level of elevated station of high-speed train at 300 km/h in operation, the environmental vibration were tested and preliminarily analyzed in four different positions in and near Weinan north elevated station of Zhengzhou-Xi’an high-speed railway, which is the first elevated station in operation for high-speed railway in China. The result shows that the vibration level in the vertical direction is much higher than the vibration level in the horizontal direction, and the vibration level in the station hall is much lower than that of viaduct bridge outside the station. The vibration reduction measures of Weinan north elevated station are very effective.

High-speed trains traveling at high velocities will generate ground vibration pollution, which is one of the main forms of environmental pollution. In order to investigate the environmental vibration level of viaduct bridges of high-speed railway, the environmental vibration is tested and analyzed for No.247 pier of the Yang Cun mega bridge of Beijing-Tianjin Inter-City high-speed railway when the train is traveling through. The result shows that the attenuation regularity of the maximum Z weighted vibration acceleration level VL zmax, the cumulative percent Z weighted vibration acceleration level VL z10, and the equivalent continuous Z weighted vibration acceleration level VL zeq all follow the Logarithmic law with increasing of the distance from the viaduct bridge to the measurement point. There is an obvious attenuation of environmental vibration within 30 m distance from the vibration source, and a smooth attenuation out of 30 m from the vibration source. The value of environmental vibration predicted by the current prediction formula of China’s high-speed train is 9.7 % higher than the measured value within 15 m to 60 m distance from the vibration source.

In order to investigate the noise level of different line forms of 350 km/h high-speed train, the noise intensity at different distance from the Beijing-Tianjin Inter-City high-speed railway was tested and analyzed. The result indicates that the noise level radiated by the train reaches the highest at 60m distance. Then the noise level decreases with the distance increasing. The result is significant for noise reduction design of the express train-sets.

Due to the requirement of railway noise evaluation, the Germany Schall03 noise forecasting model is amended according to the actual railroad situation in the western mountain areas of our country. The amended Germany Schall03 forecasting model is then used to forecast the railway noise in Weining section of NeijiangKunming line. Comparing the predictive value with the measured data, it shows that using the amended model to predict the noise of this railway section is feasible and effective. The work in this paper complements the deficiency of the research of railway noise prediction in the western mountain area of our country.
