Using ANSYS code, a 1/8cycle symmetric 3D nonlinear finite element model of boltsflange connection structure is established. Nonlinear transient dynamic analysis is done for the model with three different tightening torques under sinusoidal excitation. Using ANSYS postprocessing, the acceleration signals and signal differences of the pairs of nodes on the top and at the bottom of the flange near the bolt are obtained. The simulation data is compared with experimental data and the relationship between the tightening torques and the signals is acquired. The comparison result ensures the reliability of the finite element model.
